Character creation for SU is easy. The hardest part is coming up with what kind of character you can create. The rules are:
1: The character can only have three powers. That might seem like far to small of an amount of powers to create a modern comic charactrer with, but keep in mind that even someone diverse as even the Silver Surfer has only three powers really, the power cosmic, super durability, and super intelligence. It is the power cosmic that allows him such diverse powers, though the power cosmic is only one power itself. So it is possible to create a diverse character by giving them a power that can be used in more than one way such as magic, cosmic power (SU's term for the power cosmic), or some other power that allows for diverse uses. You can't have a power that lets you have all other powers, but you can have one or two powers that can be used in diverse ways. The only exeption is when making an actual cosmic being. They may have as many powers as the creator wants, though cosmic beigns are seldom used in stories.
2: The hero must have at least one weakness. This weakness must make since in the context of the character, and must be "adequate". The hero can have either one large weakness or several smaller ones. Cosmic beings are not required to have a weakness. Try to make weaknesses that can be worked into stories.
3: Be sure to give your character a history, name, and codename, as well as physical description and personality. List them in detail with your character, and include the characters height, weight, sex, hair and eye color, etc. Basically be sure and include everything a writer would need to write your character.
4: When you have created a character, go the message boards and post the character in the "Final Stuff" forum. Characters will be put on the site weekly.
